Change Profile Picture
Facebook Change Profile Picture - I've made no secret of my abhorrence for Facebook's interface, which is equal components untidy, complex, and outright infuriating.
For instance, suppose you want to alter your profile photo. Feels like the kind of alternative you might discover in, claim, Account Setups. Nope, not there. Privacy Setups? Nuh-uh.
Well, maybe if you click your name to open your account, you'll locate the alternative there. Allow's see ... no, there's nothing that states "change account photo." Oh, below we go, I'll bet if you click Update Details ...
An additional strike. Exactly what's that, now, four?
This is yet another of Facebook's extremely unknown setups that's actually concealing in simple sight. (Previous wrongdoer: place sharing.) To transform your profile picture, do this:
1. Open your profile by clicking your name, either on the left side (listed below the Facebook logo) or the ideal edge of the toolbar up top.
2. Computer mouse over your present image image, click Edit Profile Photo, then pick an alternative (Choose From Photos, Upload Image, Edit Thumbnail, etc.) from the drop-down menu that appears.
That's right! All this time, the option was right there-- supplied you hovered your computer mouse in the appropriate spot. Begin, Facebook, you can do much better. (Quick note: If you took place to set up one of the Facebook-photo-zoom devices I pointed out a few days ago, you could locate that the pop-up photo covers the Edit Account Photo device. Bleh.).
There is, admittedly, an additional way to set about this. If you want to turn an image that's currently in your Facebook library into your profile photo, you could-- yet, once more, discovering the option can be maddening unless you recognize where to look.
Locate the photo you desire, after that click it to raise the full-size version in its own home window. Currently, see that tiny equipment symbol in the upper-right edge? Click it, and afterwards pick Make Account Photo. Why there's not a button for this together with Tag Image, Add Location, etc. is past me.
Does this intensify you as much as it does me? Or do you think I'm being overly severe? Regardless, share your thoughts in the comments!
