Change Profile Picture
Change Facebook Profile Picture - I've made obvious of my distaste for Facebook's interface, which is equal components messy, complex, and outright maddening.
For instance, mean you wish to change your account picture. Appears like the sort of alternative you may discover in, say, Account Settings. Nope, not there. Personal privacy Settings? Nuh-uh.
Well, perhaps if you click your name to open your profile, you'll discover the alternative there. Allow's see ... no, there's nothing that claims "modification profile photo." Oh, below we go, I'll wager if you click Update Info ...
Another strike. Exactly what's that, now, four?
This is yet an additional of Facebook's ridiculously obscure settings that's actually hiding in plain sight. (Previous offender: place sharing.) To transform your profile picture, do this:
1. Open your profile by clicking your name, either on the left side (listed below the Facebook logo) or the ideal edge of the toolbar up top.
2. Computer mouse over your present image picture, click Edit Account Photo, after that pick a choice (Pick from Photos, Upload Picture, Edit Thumbnail, etc.) from the drop-down menu that appears.
That's right! All this moment, the alternative was right there-- given you floated your computer mouse in the best area. Come on, Facebook, you can do far better. (Quick note: If you occurred to install among the Facebook-photo-zoom devices I mentioned the other day, you could locate that the pop-up picture covers the Edit Profile Photo tool. Bleh.).
There is, undoubtedly, an additional method to go about this. If you wish to turn a photo that's already in your Facebook library into your profile photo, you can-- but, once more, discovering the option can be infuriating unless you know where to look.
Locate the photo you want, then click it to raise the full-size variation in its own home window. Currently, see that little equipment symbol in the upper-right corner? Click it, and afterwards pick Make Account Photo. Why there's not a switch for this along with Tag Picture, Add Location, and so on is beyond me.
Does this exacerbate you as high as it does me? Or do you assume I'm being excessively extreme? Regardless, share your thoughts in the comments!
