Change Profile Picture On Facebook - I've made obvious of my abhorrence for Facebook's user interface, which is equal parts untidy, complicated, and also outright maddening.
For example, expect you intend to transform your account image. Seems like the sort of choice you could locate in, say, Account Setups. Nope, not there. Privacy Setups? Nuh-uh.
Well, perhaps if you click your name to open your profile, you'll find the choice there. Let's see ... no, there's absolutely nothing that says "adjustment account picture." Oh, below we go, I'll wager if you click Update Details ...
Another strike. What's that, currently, 4?
This is yet an additional of Facebook's ridiculously unknown setups that's really concealing in ordinary view. (Previous culprit: location sharing.) To transform your account photo, do this:
1. Open your profile by clicking your name, either on the left side (listed below the Facebook logo design) or the appropriate side of the toolbar up top.
2. Computer mouse over your present photo picture, click Edit Profile Photo, after that choose an option (Select from Photos, Upload Image, Edit Thumbnail, and so on) from the drop-down menu that appears.
That's right! All this time around, the option was right there-- provided you floated your computer mouse in the best area. Begin, Facebook, you can do far better. (Quick note: If you happened to set up among the Facebook-photo-zoom tools I stated a few days ago, you might discover that the pop-up photo obscures the Edit Account Image tool. Bleh.).
There is, unquestionably, another method to set about this. If you wish to turn an image that's already in your Facebook collection into your account photo, you can-- but, again, locating the alternative can be frustrating unless you know where to look.
Discover the photo you desire, then click it to bring up the full-size variation in its own home window. Now, see that tiny equipment icon in the upper-right edge? Click it, and then select Make Account Picture. Why there's not a switch for this together with Tag Image, Include Location, and so on is beyond me.
Does this worsen you as long as it does me? Or do you think I'm being overly rough? Regardless, share your thoughts in the comments!
